چکیده

ABSTRACT Biostimulants currently available on the market include those containing seaweed extract. There is sufficient scientific evidence to conclude that applying biostimulants agricultural crops can positively impact plant growth and yield. However, results differ between plants species environmental conditions. As such, present study aimed assess effects of doses application times a biostimulant based (Ecklonia maxima) extract morphology yield soybean crops. The experiment was conducted in field municipality Uberaba, Minas Gerais state (MG), Brazil, dystrophic red latosol. A randomized block design used, with four repetitions, 3 x 5 factorial scheme consisting three (phenological stages: V4, R1 V4+R1) five foliar -applied (0, 250, 500, 750 1000 mL ha-1). In general, influenced number branches, nodes, flowers, pods and, consequently, crop dose 607 ha-1 promoted 6.1% greater grain (5379 kg ha-1) than obtained without spraying (5070 Application stage resulted more flowers pods.

Effects of Seaweed Extract on Physiological and Biochemical Characteristics of Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) under Water-Deficit Stress Conditions

Drought stress is one of the most important restricting factors for plant yield in arid and semi-arid regions. Seaweed extract, as a biofertilizer, enhances plant resistance against abiotic stresses via accelerating seed germination, root growth enhancement and uptake of plant nutrients. The present research was carried out to investigate the effects of foliar spraying of Ascophyllum nodosum se...
